You are then matched with a specialist who provides personalized advice to validate your diagnosis or treatment plan. It's all designed to bring peace of mind and high-quality healthcare access, no matter where you are.

Our subscription costs €20 per person per month and provides access to all of MedEx.Health's core services. This includes:

• Your personal Global Medical Record, centralising your medical files under your control and making them portable and usable, anywhere.
• Access to our expert network for Premium Second Opinions.
• Fast-track patient journey, offering you personalised support in navigating healthcare systems and bypassing top experts' waiting lists.
• A smart patient matching algorithm, ensuring to connect you with the medical expert you need.
• Active cybersecurity and privacy efforts, including continuous development to ensure your medical data is safe and under your control.

For companies and insurers, we offer volume discounts tailored to the size and needs of the organization. Importantly, MedEx.Health does not take a commission on expert fees for Premium Second Opinions. This ensures that you pay only for the specialist’s services without additional markups.

The fee for a Premium Second Opinion is set directly by the expert and varies based on the specific specialist you consult with. Factors such as their expertise, location, field of specialization, and the time required to review your case influence the cost. This structure allows us to connect you with the best possible expert for your unique needs.

At MedEx.Health, we aim to operate in full transparency. For patients with a MedEx.Health subscription, MedEx.Health does not take any commission on expert fees. The entirety of the fee goes directly to the specialist, ensuring that you receive uncompromised, high-quality care.

Yes, we offer the option for individuals to request a one-off Premium Second Opinion without subscribing to MedEx.Health. This service is ideal for those with an acute need for expert guidance.

In this case, we charge a fixed scheduling fee ranging from €150 to €300, depending on the complexity and urgency of the case. After filling out the ‘Request Second Opinion’ form on our website, you will receive a personalized quote detailing the costs before proceeding.

The outcome of a premium second opinion from MedEx.Health can be one of three possibilities:

1. Reassurance: Confirmation that your current diagnosis and treatment plan are appropriate and should be continued, offering peace of mind.
2. Reconsideration: A proposal of an alternative diagnosis or treatment plan, suggesting adjustments that could lead to better health outcomes.
3. Referral: Referral to a local expert, or "local hero," who has the right expertise to follow up on and manage your current medical issue.

This ensures that you receive the best possible advice for your healthcare needs, no matter where you are.

MedEx.Health covers a wide range of medical domains, offering second opinions across almost all specialties. However, if a physical examination is necessary for an accurate assessment, a video consultation may not be appropriate. In such cases, we recommend seeking care locally.

If your specific medical domain isn't listed, the MedEx.Health team will make efforts to connect you with a global expert in the relevant field, ensuring you get access to the best possible advice for your health situation.

Your personal medical information is standardized using international medical data standards, making it accessible and usable in any country. You gain direct access to premium second opinions, with appointments facilitated within two weeks for active members. Using smart data-driven matchmaking, our algorithms connect you with the right expert from our network.

Your subscription also ensures a personalized experience with secure teleconsultations, where experts have full access to your medical records. After the consultation, you’ll receive clear guidance on your next steps: reassurance of your current care plan, a referral to a local expert, or an invitation to follow up with the expert's team.
